USNSCC INFO

The USNSCC offers a military oriented training program for young Americans ages 10-17. The program allows young people to sample military life with NO obligation to join any branch of the armed forces. Through organization and cooperation with the Navy, Coast Guard, and Marine Corps, the US Naval Sea Cadet Corp was created.

The skills you learn and traits you develop in the Sea Cadets will serve you for the rest of your life. This is a program that will set you apart from your peers. We strive to teach the Navys core values of Honor, Courage, & Commitment. All cadets will learn leadership, teamwork, self-motivation, and discipline. The purpose of our program is to help cadets learn about themselves and where their strengths lie. You learn from experience, making mistakes and adapting to overcome them. As a cadet, you are expected to be somewhat physically fit as we do physical training every drill. Don’t let this sway you if you’re not in peak condition, we will work with you to get into a better physical condition and help motivate you every step of the way!

The primary reason people join the USNSCC is because they are interested in a future in the military, and the Sea Cadets is a great place to start! We provide a variety of in-depth training pertaining to the military. Whether you want to join the Navy or any of the uniformed services the training you receive will be invaluable. Throughout your trainings you will get a great idea of what the enlisted side of the military is like, with no obligations to join. However, if you do decide to enlist after you graduate you can join at an advanced pay grade in the Navy, Coast Guard, Marine Corps or Army. Your experience can also be a valuable resource to earn an appointment to a Service Academy or an ROTC scholarship. The Sea Cadets also offer a variety of scholarships to those seniors who complete the program through graduation.

We offer a variety of spring, summer and winter training opportunities in addition to local drill meetings and events. Trainings are located throughout the United States. All cadets must attend a two-week Recruit Training which is a condensed version of the Navys Boot Camp. After completing RT, cadets have plenty of options for advanced trainings!
